Epoxy resins for flow tables and casting up to 5 cm (ECO+)
EPODEX epoxy resin is ideal for various applications. From construction work to electrical engineering to furniture coatings. You can coat your floors, table tops and other objects. You can include pictures or make your own jewelry. Whatever your project, we will help you realize it. Our epoxy resin systems can be mixed with all our colors. See the gallery for usage examples.
Instructions for use
-
- Always start with an epoxy resin primer to avoid high material loss and blistering (layer thickness: 0.2-0.5mm). Simply use one batch of the same clear epoxy. Mix the A-component resin with the B-component starch in a 2:1 ratio (e.g. 2kg A: 1kg B).
- Stir the material on the sides and bottom of the mixing glass as well, as the material will settle there. It is best to pour the mixture into a clean mixing glass and mix again until the mixture is streak free. This ensures that the A-component resin and B-component hardener are completely mixed.
- Immediately after mixing , pour the resin-hardener mixture onto the surface to be coated, as the product may boil in the mixing cup depending on the system and quantity.
- Apply the epoxy resin to the desired surface with a paint roller or brush.
- Allow the primer to set. The setting time varies depending on the temperature, the layer thickness and the epoxy resin system used.
- Then continue with the main layer in the same way. Work-in times, pour heights and set times may vary depending on the epoxy system selected and the application. Detailed information can be found in our information table under the „i” information button next to the epoxy resin system selection on this page.
Information: The epoxy resin is sensitive to any moisture during the setting process (danger of amine veil formation, i.e. formation of white spots in the upper layer). Therefore, we recommend that you avoid any contact between water and epoxy resin until it has fully cured (at least 7 days). In the case of thin layers, cold temperatures (ambient temperature, substrate and resin temperature below 20°C), as well as increased humidity, the time for the epoxy resin to completely set may take longer.
