How to Paint Metals
1. Sand with sandpaper or a wire brush. The metal should be clean, smooth, free of rust of flaky material.
2. Clean and degrease using EPODEX’s Pre-Cleaner and let the metal dry.
3. Mix the resin A-component with the hardener B-component in the right mixing ratio. For coloured coatings, add the EP Colour paste into the mixture.
4. Pour the mixture into a paint tray and apply it thinly with a roller in a criss-cross pattern.
5. Let the first coat cure. Then, mix and apply the second coat in the same way.
Pro Tip: Applying two coats of paint in a criss-cross motion ensures the paint is applied evenly and thoroughly. This reduces the chance of leaving small areas bare and unprotected.
