Advantages of Wood sealant
Especially outdoors, your wooden surfaces and equipment are exposed to numerous influences. A wood protection paint must therefore protect your surfaces, but also be flexible and open to diffusion. Temperature fluctuations, UV rays as well as humidity and moisture constantly stress the surfaces. Whether on wooden fences, children’s play equipment or the carport – you need a sealant that protects effectively and permanently. EPODEX ACRYLIC PROTECT+ is an environmentally friendly and diffusion-open wood preservative varnish that meets all important criteria. For dimensionally stable garden furniture, use EPODEX ACRYLIC PROTECT, as this varnish is more rigid.
For interior use, a wood preservative paint can be useful if you want to change the colour or if untreated wood is stressed, for example, by high humidity or mechanical constraints. Use the rigid, resistant ACRYLIC PROTECT varnish for sealing and on varnish-on-varnish contact points, such as on wooden shutters.

Apply wood preservative outside
Wood is a popular renewable raw material because it has many properties that can be exploited. These include high compressive strength combined with elasticity and often great durability.
However, untreated wood is very susceptible to all kinds of damage. Wood is absorbent and, without sealing, becomes soft and rotten over time when exposed to external influences such as wetness or moisture. Pests can also attack the wood and destroy it from the inside. To ensure that you can enjoy your outdoor wood for a long time, the wood preservative is essential. Depending on the look you want, you can use EPODEX ACRYLIC PROTECT+ weather protection paint as a transparent sealant or coloured. This will allow you to significantly extend the life of your roof soffits, wooden facades, wooden railings or garden sheds.
Applying EPODEX ACRYLIC paints
The application of EPODEX wood preservative is no more complicated than painting with emulsion paints. Before painting, the surface must be clean and free of grease and dirt. Areas that are not to be painted can be masked off or covered with foil as a precaution. Roughen the surface with sandpaper or an electric sander. Remove existing layers of paint as best as possible.
Apply a thin coat of EPODEX ACRYLIC mixed with 10% water as a primer. Now mix. Mix EPODEX ACRYLIC PROTECT or PROTECT+. Then apply a thin layer of the material with a brush or foam roller. Allow the varnish to dry and repeat the process 2-3 times. When the desired opacity has been achieved, allow the last coat to dry completely before loading the surfaces as usual.
