Decorative Concrete Plaster For Walls | Concrete Effect
Decorative levelling compound with concrete optic. Cost-effective alternative to microcement. Ideal for rented flats as it is easy to sand and paint over afterwards.
- Decorative levelling compound in fine to medium grain size for walls and tiled walls.
- Can be used on all surfaces such as concrete, metal, plastic, wood, etc.
- Can be applied to absorbent and non-absorbent substrates in layer thicknesses of 0-10cm
- Areas of application: Indoors. Outdoors and damp areas with PU sealant
- Mixing ratio: 5:2 (e.g. 1kg EFFECT powder with 400ml water)
- Working time: approx. 30 minutes (fast setting)
- Scope of delivery for 5m²: 5kg EFFECT powder + 2x 100g WB PIGMENT paste to dye the powder
- Drying Time at 20°C: approx. 24h

Instructions for Use
Coating
- The substrate must be stable, dry, and free of dirt, separating agents, and unevenness.
- Sand off any unevenness.
- Mix CONCRETE EFFECT powder with water in a ratio of 5:2 by weight (e.g. 1kg EFFECT powder with 400ml water).
- Add approx. 2% WB PIGMENT․
- Apply material with a trowel. Working Time: Approx. 30min. Consumption Volume: approx. 1kg/m² per 1mm layer thickness. Drying Time: approx. 24hrs
Sealent
For wet rooms, surfaces with direct water contact, as well as heavily used surfaces (high mechanical load, cleaning with aggressive cleaning agents, etc.), we recommend sealing the surface with EPODEX Polyurethane Resin (PU Finish) in matte.
- To mix, pour the entire contents of PU Finish Component B into the container of PU Finish Component A and mix thoroughly.
- Apply the material thinly and in a crosshatch pattern using a paint roller and brush. First paint laterally to the light source, then wet-on-wet in the direction of the light to avoid visible brush marks.
Important: Especially inside the shower and in areas with permanent water contact, we recommend applying our PU Finish exclusively with a brush (e.g. 10 cm width) in a crosshatch pattern to fully close all pores. For heavily textured surfaces outside the wet area, a brush should also be used (and not a paint roller). We recommend two coats. - Allow the material to cure for at least 16 hours, then apply the second coat.
- Allow the material to cure for 48 hours after the second coat. Inside the shower and in areas with permanent water contact, allow 7 days to cure before the coating comes into contact with water.
Decorative Concrete Optic
EPODEX 1K CONCRETE EFFECT is a special, single-component levelling compound for designing walls, tiles, kitchens, bathrooms, and other areas with a modern concrete look. The material can simply be mixed with water and applied to all surfaces with ease. Achieve a modern design in no time at all and if you get tired of the concrete look, you can simply sand the textured surface smooth by hand with sandpaper and paint over it.
Waterproof Concrete Look
1K CONCRETE EFFECT is waterproof and weather-resistant in combination with our polyurethane resin (PU) sealant. It is therefore ideal for showers and outdoor areas. The sealant layer is rolled onto the dried CONCRETE EFFECT. You will thus obtain a waterproof surface with a concrete look.
