Application Instructions

1․ Prepare substrate

chevronBottom

The substrate must be load-bearing, dry, sufficiently tensile and compressive strength, and clean. Dust, oil, grease and release agents must be removed in advance by suitable measures.
Application temperature: 15-30 °C (room and substrate temperature) with a maximum relative humidity of 70 %.

2․ Apply PU Finish for a matt finish

  1. For mixing, add the entire contents of PU Finish component B into the container of PU Finish component A and mix thoroughly.
  2. Immediately after mixing, apply the mixture evenly to the floor with a roller to achieve a homogeneous surface while maintaining the floor texture.
To achieve a streak-free result, roll first against the direction of the light and then wet-on-wet in the direction of the light source.
Pro tip: For an even, homogeneous finish, we recommend 2 coats. The waiting time between coats is at least 16 hours at 20 °C.
  3. Protect the area from moisture, dust and mechanical stress during curing.
Walkable after approx. 16 hours, fully loadable after approx. 4 days (temperature-dependent).
  4. Allow the material to cure for 48 hours after the second coat. Inside the shower and in areas with permanent water contact, allow 7 days to cure before the coating comes into contact with water.

3․ Note

chevronBottom

When sealing microcement, Concrete Effect, and other open-pored and textured surfaces, we recommend, especially inside the shower and in areas with permanent water contact, applying our PU Finish exclusively with a brush (e.g. 10 cm width) in a crosshatch pattern to fully close all pores. For heavily textured surfaces outside the wet area, a brush should also be used (and not a paint roller). We recommend two coats.

Application & Substrates

PU Finish is suitable as a matt finishing. The matt finish makes the surface more scratch-resistant. The coating is diffusion-tight and compatible with underfloor heating. This makes it ideal for almost all rigid substrates.

Properties & Limitations

The coating provides slip resistance class in the range of R9 and is designed for indoor use. After curing, the surface has light to medium mechanical load resistance, meaning it is suitable for schools, retail spaces, offices, museums, apartments, etc. The material is not frost-resistant and not suitable for outdoor use.
