Mineral-based Paint For Durability

Thanks to its natural high alkalinity, Lime wash naturally inhibits mold, mildew, and some bacteria. Unlike many synthetic paints, it doesn’t contain any harmful chemicals. Which means that it doesn’t pollute indoor air! Limewash also can absorb some CO2 while curing – Something no other paint can do! EPODEX’s Limewash Paint allows moisture to pass through, which is a key element to regulate humidity levels.

Instructions for use

  1. Ensure that the surface to be painted is clean, and free of imperfections.
  2. If needed, prime the substrate with our Interior Paint Polar White.
  3. Let the Polar White Interior Paint dry. After priming, the substrate should be uniform, matt and white.
  4. Pour 4L water in a mixing jug, add 2kg Limewash Powder and 100g WB Pigment to colour the mixture.
  5. Mix thoroughly with a whisk until the powder is completely dissolved.
  6. Remix regularly while painting to prevent material from settling at the bottom of the mixing jug.
  7. Apply the first coat Limewash Paint with a fine bristle brush.
  8. Apply the Limewash Paint with criss-cross strokes, creating soft “clouds”. Keep working each cloud while it is still wet and lightly feather the edges into the next one.
  9. Let the first layer dry min. 3h before continuing with the second layer.

Instant Aged Look with Limewash Paint

This mineral-based powder mixed is ideal to achieve a soft, matt, and chalky look with subtle colour variations. Unlike traditional paints which sit on the surface, limewash paint is absorbed into it. This unique feature is key to lime paint’s ability to resist blistering and cracking, even in high-humidity environments. After drying, the walls take on a vintage yet sophisticated look that can’t be achieved with any other paint. You can also combine colours and techniques to achieve unique finishes and ombré effects.
