How To Sand and Polish Resin?

  1. Wait until your resin is fully cured before starting with sanding and polishing it.
  2. Start by sanding with a grit size of P320 and gradually increase the sanding grit until you reach P5000 without skipping any grit.
  3. Clean between each grit to make sure that the surface is uniform and there are no visible scratches or uneven areas. Should there be any swirl marks or irregularities, sand again using the previous grit size.
  4. After sanding up to a grit P5000, polish the resin using EPODEX Polish and the lambswool attachment.
  5. Remove excess polish with a microfibre cloth and continue polishing.
  6. Use a polishing pad to remove any micro-scratches. Gently wipe the surface to remove any polish residue.

I first sanded dry and then wet. But I would recommend wet sanding. The sandpaper is made for that and it works perfectly. It also doesn't tend to tear. The price-performance ratio is great.

For the wet sanding of my river table, the sandpaper was perfectly suitable. The size was more than sufficient.
