EP Coating - 2K Epoxy Resin Flooring for Roller Application
2K epoxy resin roller coating for coating indoor floors (2-in-1 thin-layer system)
- Suitable for almost all rigid substrates and applications such as industrial floors, commercial and production facilities, warehouses, sterile floor areas, etc.
- Applied as a roller coating
- Results in a glossy finish. The floor texture remains visible after coating
- Consumption: Primer with EP Coating approx. 350 g/m², coating with EP Coating approx. 350 g/m²
- Walkable / recoatable after approx. 16 hrs, fully load-bearing after approx. 7 days (at +20 °C)
- Scope of delivery: Resin component A and hardener component B + EP Colour Paste

Instructions for Use
Prepare substrate
The substrate must be load-bearing, dry, sufficiently tensile and compressive strength, and clean. Dust, oil, grease and release agents must be removed in advance using suitable methods.
Application should be carried out at 10-30 °C (room and substrate temperature) and a maximum relative humidity of 70 %.
Apply EP Coating in two layers
- EP Coating is applied in two layers. Approx. 350 g/m² should be planned per layer. Fresh material must be mixed for each layer. At 20 °C, the second layer may be applied no earlier than 16 hours and no later than 36 hours after application of the first layer.
Important: If the second layer is not applied within 36 hours, the first cured layer must be sanded until it is completely matt (white haze) before the second layer can be applied. - For mixing, pour the complete contents of EP Coating component B into the container of EP Coating component A. Then add 2 × 100 g of EP Colour Paste and mix slowly and thoroughly with a drill for approx. 3 minutes at 300-400 rpm.
Working Time: approx. 30 minutes at 20 °C. - Immediately after mixing, pour the material onto the floor, spread it with a surface squeegee and then roll over it to achieve an even surface and retain the floor texture.
- During curing, protect the area from moisture, dust and mechanical stress.
Walkable after approx. 16 hours, fully load-bearing after approx. 7 days (temperature-dependent).
Important Notes
Colour deviations are possible due to raw material variations. When using different batches, base components should be pre-mixed. UV radiation and weathering may cause slight colour changes. To avoid curing and mixing problems, components A and B must first be thoroughly mixed, then transferred into a second clean container and mixed again. Professional Tip: To Ensure Optimal Substrate Adhesion, We Recommend Preparing Older Floors in Particular by Shot Blasting or Diamond Grinding With Thorough Vacuuming.
Application & Substrates
EP Coating is suitable for concrete, cement screed and existing coatings (e.g. epoxy resin). It is not suitable for mastic asphalt, magnesite and anhydrite screeds, or moisture-permeable floors. In these cases, we recommend using our EP Allrounder. The coating is diffusion-tight, suitable for wet areas, and compatible with underfloor heating. The total thickness (Primer and main coating) is approx. 0.6 mm.

Properties & Limitations
The coating allows adjustable slip resistance from R10 to R13, depending on the respective system structure. EP Coating is designed for indoor use. After curing, the surface has medium mechanical load-bearing capacity, i.e. it is suitable for pedestrian traffic of up to 1,000 people per day as well as forklift traffic, car traffic, etc. The material is not frost-resistant and is not suitable for flexible substrates. Because the coating is diffusion-tight, it is suitable for sterile environments such as medical technology facilities.
Speeds Up Your Project
With our EP Booster, you can significantly shorten the curing time of this product. The EP Booster is an accelerator and reduces the curing time from approx. 16 hours to approx. 6 hours at 20 °C without affecting the mechanical and chemical properties. It is particularly recommended at low temperatures or when the waiting time until further processing or use of the floor needs to be reduced. For this product, you require 0.15 kg per 7 kg of EP Coating (total quantity A + B).
