PU Flex Sample Trays (Dimensions: 10 x 7 cm)
Order up to 7 sample trays (10 × 7 cm) of our PU Flex in your desired colours and convince yourself of the quality of the material. The samples allow you to assess the colour effect under real conditions and experience the surface texture for yourself. In this way, you gain an authentic impression of the appearance, feel, and finish even before making your purchasing decision.
Make use of this opportunity to select the perfect colour for your project.

Application Instructions
Prepare substrate
The substrate must be level, load-bearing, dry, sufficiently resistant to tensile and compressive forces, and clean. Dust, oil, grease and release agents must be removed in advance using suitable measures. Application takes place at 10-30 °C (room and substrate temperature) and a maximum air humidity of 70 %.
Apply EP Primer as a primer
- For mixing, add the entire contents of EP Primer component B to the container of EP Primer component A and mix slowly and thoroughly for approx. 3 minutes at 300-400 rpm using a drill.
Working Time: approx. 40 minutes at 20 °C․ - Immediately after mixing, pour the material onto the floor, spread with a rubber squeegee and then finish with a roller to achieve an even surface and preserve the floor structure.
- During curing, protect the surface from moisture, dust and mechanical stress. Walkable after approx. 14 hours, fully load-bearing after approx. 7 days (temperature-dependent).
- Further coating with other products may be applied at 20 °C no earlier than 14 hours and must be applied no later than 36 hours after application of the EP Primer.
Important: If further coating is not applied within 36 hours, the EP Primer must be broadcast with quartz sand while still fresh/liquid (recommended quantity: approx. 300 g/m²). Before further coating, remove loose excess quartz sand with a broom.
Note: Always use PU Flex as a primer when working on mastic asphalt.
If required: Level unevenness (surface roughness) greater than 0.5 mm with PU Flex and quartz sand
- For mixing, add the entire contents of PU Flex component B to the container of PU Flex component A. Then add 9 kg of quartz sand to the mixture and mix slowly and thoroughly for approx. 3 minutes at 300-400 rpm using a drill.
Working Time: approx. 25 minutes at 20 °C․ - Immediately after mixing, pour the mixture onto the floor, spread evenly with a surface squeegee and then deaerate with a spiked roller to achieve an even surface and a smooth finish.
- During curing, protect the surface from moisture, dust and mechanical stress. Walkable after approx. 16 hours, fully load-bearing after approx. 7 days (temperature-dependent).
- Further coating with PU Flex may be applied at 20 °C no earlier than 16 hours and must be applied no later than 36 hours after application of the PU Flex and quartz sand.
Important: If further coating is not applied within 36 hours, the PU Flex and quartz sand must be broadcast with additional quartz sand while still fresh/liquid (recommended quantity: approx. 300 g/m²). Before further coating, remove loose excess quartz sand with a broom.
Apply the PU Flex main coat
- For mixing, add the entire contents of PU Flex component B to the container of PU Flex component A. Then add 2 × 100 g of EP colour paste and mix slowly and thoroughly for approx. 3 minutes at 300-400 rpm using a drill.
Working Time: approx. 25 minutes at 20 °C․ - Immediately after mixing, pour the mixture onto the floor, spread evenly with a surface squeegee and then deaerate with a spiked roller to achieve an even surface and a mirror-smooth finish.
- During curing, protect the surface from moisture, dust and mechanical stress. Walkable after approx. 16 hours, fully load-bearing after approx. 7 days (temperature-dependent).
Important Notes
Colour deviations are possible due to raw material variations. When using different batches, base components should be pre-mixed. UV and weather influences can lead to slight colour changes. To avoid curing and mixing problems, components A and B must first be thoroughly mixed, then transferred into a second clean container and mixed again.
Professional Tip: To Ensure Optimal Substrate Adhesion, We Recommend Preparing Older Floors in Particular by Shot Blasting or Diamond Grinding With Thorough Vacuuming.
Application & Substrates
PU Flex is suitable for almost all substrates such as concrete, cement screed, existing coatings (e.g. epoxy resin) and mastic asphalt. The coating is diffusion-tight, flexible, compatible with underfloor heating and crack-bridging. This makes it ideal for substrates subject to movement, vibration and cracking, as well as for sterile rooms, e.g. in medical technology. The total thickness (primer and main coating) is approx. 1.1 mm.

Properties & Limitations
The coating provides slip resistance class in the range of R9 and is designed for indoor use. After curing, the surface has medium mechanical load capacity, i.e. it is suitable for pedestrian traffic of up to 1,000 people per day as well as for forklift traffic, car traffic, etc. The material is frost-resistant and can also be used at temperatures up to 75 °C. It is therefore ideal for cold stores as well as for areas exposed to radiant heat from machinery.
